Hey guys, I have also made some site updates and additions today.

I have finished setting up my Form Spring, so if you have any questions, go there to ask me and I will either answer them directly there, or put the good ones in a blog post for everyone to see.

Community
I changed the forums to have a more clean look that keeps everything more divided, and clean cut. Make sure you register and get to know the other blog readers. If you don’t find me interesting, which I’m sure you don’t, you will find them entertaining!

Where Have I Been!

Wow guys, it has been way too long. I apologize for the inactivity on my half, these last couple weeks have been hectic! School has been crazy busy, mainly because I have a bad habit of not doing homework and this trimester all of my classes are the ones that homework pulls you through instead of tests, so I have been doing a couple hours of makeup work a night to get all of that caught up. Speaking of school, today and Monday we are dissecting Fetal Pigs, which have more facial hair them me /facepalm. It is actually really interesting an not as bad as I thought it would be. Dissecting worms and starfish were way worse than the pigs. On Sunday my phone broke, and my replacement phone just came in yesterday, going from a Samsung Memoir to a cheap Nokia was such a pain! I was shooting for 10,000 texts this month, which I have passed up already am approaching 13,000 right now. We had two drum line competitions Saturday, so that day was crazy busy. Lots of drama going on in the line right now though, no one knows what happened for sure but so far we know one guy got suspended from school, one guy head butted another guy for doing stuff with his sister, it is a big mess! Gosh I don’t know what else, expect a bunch of posts as I remember!

Facebook Changes :: Fix News Feed

For about 2 weeks now the Facebook Fairy has been changing people’s design once again, she finally stopped by me about 3 days ago. At first, I was nervous to see the changes, because everyone who had received the change before me had nothing but bad to say about it, but when I received the change, I was very pleased. To me, it reminds me a lot of the original facebook, but with the new features incorporated, so obviously they had to make some changes. What made me laugh is when they changed for the original layout, to the old one, everyone was pissed and wanted the old layout back, now they changed it back, and everyone is mad and they want to new one back. I do believe that people just want to complain no matter what, even though I personally did not like the layout previous to this one and prefer the latest design the most.

With this said, I do have one complaint/concern. For a while I was only seeing about half of my friends status updates, and the rest were just gone. I thought this must just be a bug they are trying to work out until I saw a friend post about a status limiter. Basically facebook has designed a way to choose which friend’s statuses you want to see, and which you don’t and have put them into 2 lists. By default, the list of friends you can see is set to 250 people, which for me is less than half of my list. There is an easy fix to this. If you go to the bottom of the home page, on the right side of the news feed, you will see “Edit Options”. A window will pop up and on the bottom left you will see “Number of Friends”. You can set this to any number up to 5000. What I don’t get is, 1) why did they do this? 2)what if I have more than 5000 friends and want to view them all? Anyways, I don’t know if I am behind times on just learning this, or if you guys had the same issues, but there you have it!

30 Hour Famine

Hey guys, we are doing the 30 Hour Famine at the end of next month where, for 30 hours, we will not eat, and will be doing service projects in Minneapolis. We will raise money before and during the event, and along with the amount I was originally going to give, for every person who registers and gets involved in the community(click the red letters to the left or the big button up top that says community), I will donate around $0.50. I have to say around that amount because if only 2 people register, i will increase it, and if 100,000 people register, I will be forced to lower it, but in the end this is or a good cause and only takes a couple clicks to help eliminate starvation. So make sure you first, get involved yourself, and second, invited your friends. Thanks a ton guys!

Thursday Things

Ridiculous Forwards

Oh Em Gee! Facebook is closing down, MSN will steal your soul, and you puppy will die unless you forward this to 10 people. Come on now, we have all seen these ridiculous claims wasting space in our inbox. The sad part is I still see some from like 4 years ago saying unless I forward this email to 100 people, my msn will be delete because they only have 520 email name possibilities left. Sad, it was only 520 then and is still 520 hmm.. I don’t know who is stupi… i mean gullible enough to believe these claims, but please, don’t forward them. Heck if MSN really needed names freed up, or more names available, THEY would contact you about it and not trust an email forward, or they could just get another domain for the tag of the email, but whatever. Another claim that is making me so upset is on Facebook, all of the join this group, download this program that is most likely a virus, and you will get a magical unicorn holding a dislike button in your shower. Then people who do this and get viruses campaign against Facebook, saying it gives them viruses. Its a never ending cycle of stupidity..err.. I mean gullibility. Sorry guys but here is a secret, any group or forward or ANYTHING that requires or threatens you to forward or invite your friends to achieve something the site doesn’t offer, does not work, and some punk who is sitting in his mom’s basement just fooled you. So don’t waste your time, or my time, with these silly imaginary Dislike buttons and unicorns.

Who doesn’t love a good riddle? I think it is safe to say that riddles are something that everyone can enjoy to try and figure out. Today I stumbled across www.riddles.com…, a brilliant collection of tons of riddles and brain teasers. One of my favorites is, “There is an ancient invention that allows us to see walls that is still being used today, what is it?” Well it would be no fun to just post the answer right here where everyone could see right away so how about after you try to figure it out, head over to the forums, join the community, and click HERE to see the answer and join in on some discussions.

Macbook

Well I have finally saved up enough money where I can start looking into getting a Macbook Pro. I am thinking right now just the 15″. The 13″ I think will be a little too small, and the 17″ just is too big for my liking. When I purchase this though, is there any software I should get for website development (PHP, mySQL, etc.) It would be nice if I had a good editor, and then like something like WAMP(did I get that right? The window servier program, or is it WIMP?) Anyways, just something that I can work on my mmorpg on a private server off of my mac. Thanks for the input guys:)

Is Facebook Seeing Its Fall?

A little bit ago, Facebook added a box to the top of the home page when you login nudging you to use a friend finder tool. Though I see pros and cons in this, their intent is quite obvious, they need more activity. How do they increase activity? By increasing the amount of friends you have. I’m not sure if this is showing that they are running into some financial issues or something that they would be pushing this, but maybe this could be the start of the end of Facebook. Who knows?
